Job description

Supervises the activities of the Casino gaming table such as Blackjack, American Roulette, Caribbean Stud Poker, Dice, and related services by performing the following essential duties.

Hiring Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years dealer experience with Blackjack, American Roulette, Caribbean Stud Poker, Dice, and other related table games. (Shipboard experience preferred)
  • Ability to perform quick mental arithmetic calculations involving monetary units, odds, and percentages.
  • Ability to make decisions based on sound judgment regarding gaming rules and regulations.
  • Ability to observe and recognize payout accuracy, dealer behavior, and related activities.
  • Satisfactory completion of Gaming Board/Commission approved dealer school.
  • Ability to utilize customer service skills by exercising authority and discretion to satisfy guests in a manner consistent with Celebrity Connections standards.
  • Knowledge of policies and practices involved in human resources. Ability to supervise an international team of Dealers positively and productively by motivating, developing, and managing employees. Ability to administer disciplinary actions through coaching and counseling or recommend termination when necessary.
  • Ability to learn the financial aspects of a casino operation, including identifying expense reduction opportunities through cost control. Demonstrated aptitude for managing headcount within the area to support business needs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, or related programs.
  • High school diploma or GED required; university degree preferred.
