Job summary

Canteen in Belvidere, IL is hiring a full-time Cashroom Assistant to help manage cash received from daily operations. The role requires accuracy in cash handling and reconciliation, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods; schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility provided at interview.

You will support vending route drivers by preparing deposits, coins, and petty cash, and you will enjoy perks like free coffee and monthly pay credit, with hourly pay

Qualifications

• Experience reconciling cash from daily operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accuracy of vending machine money collected and returned by route drivers.
• Prepares and distributes change of coins and petty cash for route drivers.
• Ensures coin and currency counters are accurate.
• Ensures route statements are accurate prior to making end-of-day deposits.
• Balances out the vault to ensure route statements match funds that are being deposited.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
