Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets Inc. is seeking friendly cashiers to greet customers and provide a smooth checkout experience at our Hood River store. You will scan items, verify prices, process purchases, and handle cash and rewards with care.

Responsibilities include assisting customers across departments, keeping the checkout area clean, and supporting teammates as needed. Prior retail or cashier experience is preferred; 18+ years old required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years or older.
• Previous experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer and create a friendly checkout experience.
• Scan items, verify pricing, and process purchases accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, coupons, discounts, refunds, and change with care.
• Bag or wrap items to keep them safe during transport.
• Redeem coupons, loyalty rewards, or stamps when applicable.
• Answer questions and connect customers to the right products or departments.
• Resolve small issues or complaints quickly and respectfully.
• Keep your checkout area clean, stocked, and ready for the next customer.
• Follow cash-handling policies and report any discrepancies.
• Support teammates and assist with other duties as needed.
