Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time cashier for the Purchase, NY location. The role entails handling cash transactions, verifying drawer accuracy, and processing payments. The position may include light food-service tasks and requires maintaining sanitation and service standards.

Qualifications

• Prior cashier experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion.
• Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other payments; issues receipts.
• Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Responsible for change funds and cash receipts; keeps drawer compliant with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenishes condiments, coffee, beverages and general supplies; maintains service areas cleanliness.
• Keeps pastry case stocked and ensures compliance with service standards and cash control.
