Job summary

BibliU is seeking a part-time, temporary Cashier at our Goldsboro campus store to provide friendly customer service and manage daily store operations. The role includes handling transactions, stocking shelves, and assisting with inventory and merchandising.

The position offers on-the-job training in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment, with potential for further opportunities within BibliU's broader education technology platform.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or cashier roles is beneficial but not required.
• Friendly, reliable and customer focused.
• Able to lift heavy boxes and handle basic stockroom tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store and over the phone with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Operate the cash register accurately in line with store policies.
• Maintain clean and organized displays and ensure shelves are stocked.
• Check in, price and display supplies and general merchandise.
• Participate in inventory counts and help track stock levels.
• Record price changes and promotions accurately.
• Notify staff about out-of-stock or defective items.
• Follow up on special orders and notify of issues or arrivals.
• Report marketing trends and customer feedback to supervisor.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cashier to join our wonderful team! The Cashier is responsible for delivering friendly, helpful customer service and ensuring the efficient operations of the Campus Store. The role involves operating the cash register, assisting with inventory maintenance and supporting the daily presentation and organization of merchandise. This position offers on-the-job training and a supportive team environment!

What you will be doing:

• Check in, price and display supplies and general merchandise

• Follow up with customers regarding special orders and notify them of any issues or arrivals
• Report marketing trends and customer feedback to supervisor
• Complete and additional duties as assigned
