Job summary

Meijer is seeking a dedicated Cashier in Evansville, IN to deliver fast, friendly checkout experiences. You will be the last touchpoint for customers and play a key role in creating positive moments as they leave the store.

Must be at least 18 and available 6am–1pm daily. Prior retail experience helps, but is not required; training is provided to learn Meijer programs and promotions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Available to schedule 6a-1p daily.
• Experience in retail or customer service is helpful but not required.
• Able to lift, bend, twist and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to assist customers.
• Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences.
• Use Meijer systems to complete transactions accurately.
• Handle cash and payments responsibly with attention to detail.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with friendly eye contact and body language.
• Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care.
• Build trust and encourage customers to return.

What You Bring:

• You're 18 years of age or older
• You enjoy working with people and providing great service
• You're comfortable learning and using technology

• Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required
• You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
