Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is hiring for a frontline position where you’ll help customers, operate registers, and use Meijer systems to process transactions efficiently. You’ll contribute to a welcoming checkout experience and assist with questions while upholding accuracy and service standards.

Ideal candidates are 18+, enjoy helping people, adaptable with technology, and organized. Prior retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required; lifting and standing for periods may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service is helpful but not required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to learn and use technology.
• Good communication and organization.

• Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers.
• Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression.
• Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail.
• Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language.
• Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care.
• Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
