Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Cashier II to join our store team. You will deliver friendly, efficient service to every guest, operate a point‑of‑sale system, and keep the food, beverage and merchandise area clean and well stocked.

The role requires 2+ years of cashier experience, POS knowledge, and flexibility to work nights, weekends and some holidays. We offer medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a 401(k) with company match, vacation, holidays, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Computer/POS knowledge required.
• Merchandising/stocking experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS register; process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle guest inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized checkout area.
• Assist with receiving product and stocking shelves per planograms.
• Help train new cashiers on job duties and responsibilities.
• Prioritize tasks to align with store needs and management directions.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain strong communication with leaders and coworkers.
