Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Cashier II to join our store team. You will provide excellent customer service, process transactions on a POS register, and keep the food and beverage area clean and stocked. You may assist with receiving and merchandising and help train junior cashiers. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and some holidays is required. Qualifications

• 2+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Computer/POS knowledge required.
• Cash handling skills required.
• Merchandising/stocking experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude.
• Process transactions on a POS register; maintain a clean, well-stocked area.
• Assist receiving product and unloading; stock and organize merchandise on planograms.
• Assist training lower-level cashiers on duties and responsibilities.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.
