Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest in Spokane, WA seeks a cashier to support daily store operations with register duties and excellent customer service. This role may be offered part-time or full-time with hourly pay.

Responsibilities include opening/closing tasks, stocking, handling cash and transactions, operating the POS system, and ensuring a welcoming shopper experience. A background check and cashier training are required.

• Must pass background check.
• Must successfully complete Cashier Training.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Adhere to company policies and standards.
• Perform opening tasks, including cleaning glass cases, cleaning counters, and stocking supplies for the cash wrap.
• Perform register closing duties, including counting down the register, processing the paperwork, and securing deposits.
• Pull and stock merchandise as directed.
• Collect cash, checks, or card payments and provide correct change.
• Operate the POS cash register system accurately.
• Bag customer purchases in bags or cartons.
• Assist with customer service at adjacent stations.
• Move clothes from dressing rooms and rehang them on racks.
• Move merchandise stock from sales floor to back room.
• Answer telephone and paging announcements as needed.
• Perform other merchandise stocking duties as assigned.
• Represent the company by providing excellent customer service.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
