Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a customer-focused store associate to support checkout, merchandising and daily store tasks. You will greet customers, operate the register, scan products, process payments and PC Optimum loyalty card transactions, while keeping the checkout neat and shelves well-organized.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork and friendly service in a fast-paced retail environment, with a commitment to exceptional customer experiences across the community.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follows loss prevention standards and controls cash/lottery inventory.
• Presents a professional image per uniform policy.
• Complies with health, safety, and store policies; maintains housekeeping standards.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

• Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all customers
• Maintains a neat and organized checkout area
• Greets all customers and displays warm demeanor
• Accurately scans or enters product data
• Accurately accounts for cash and coupon, lottery, and PC Optimum
• Asks for customer’s PC Optimum Card during each transaction

Merchandising

• Ensures proper documentation completed with respect to customers receipt and return of goods
• Merchandises and maintains designated areas (i.e., facing, signing, labeling, etc)

Loss Prevention

• Ensures loss prevention Standards are followed
• Controls cash, lottery, and stamp inventory

General

• Presents proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines
• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all store policies and procedures
• Ensures the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained
• Perform other duties as required
