Levy in St. Louis is seeking a cashier to perform sales transactions and cash handling in a fast-paced cafe setting. You will verify cash drawer, count receipts, and complete cash reports while maintaining cleanliness in dining and service areas.

The role involves assisting customers, processing payments, and ensuring accuracy of transactions in accordance with company procedures and ServSafe sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience performing cash transactions and handling cash.
• Ability to interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

• Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion.
• Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Makes change, accepts various payment forms, and issues receipts.
• Follows procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Responsible for change funds and cash receipts, ensuring drawer accuracy.
• Observes customers in the cafe line and differentiates portions.
• Replenishes condiments, coffee, beverages and supplies while keeping service areas clean.
• Keeps pastry case stocked.
• Ensures compliance with service standards, inventory, and cash-control procedures.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
