Job summary

Hen House is seeking a reliable Cashier to join our team. In this role you'll provide a smooth checkout experience and support sales while maintaining a guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities include scanning purchases, handling payments, staying informed on promos, assisting guests with product knowledge, keeping front-end area clean, and collaborating with team to ensure strong store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times.
• Accurately scan and process guest purchases while maintaining speed and accuracy.
• Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments following proper procedures.
• Stay informed on promotions, pricing, and store initiatives to support sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Engage with guests to answer questions, make suggestions, and help connect them with products that meet their needs.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership to support smooth front-end operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout and front-end area.
• Stock, face, and assist with product placement as needed.
• Operate POS systems, scanners, and related equipment accurately.
• Monitor inventory levels near checkout areas and report issues.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with bagging, restocking, cleaning, and supporting other departments as needed.
• Remain productive during slower periods by supporting store presentation and identifying opportunities to improve the guest experience.
