Job summary

Agri Supply Co. seeks a customer-focused associate in Statesboro, GA to greet customers, handle transactions, and answer inquiries. You’ll provide friendly service, process payments, and help with upselling while maintaining accurate records and supporting store operations.

The role requires reliability, basic math skills, and a willingness to learn. Prior cashier experience is a plus, with opportunities for overtime and growth in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service role or cashier work is a plus.
• Helpful, courteous, and positive attitude requested.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
• Detail oriented with a desire to help people.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to store policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive customer experience by greeting and assisting customers and responding to inquiries and complaints with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
• Operate cash register to process payments made by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers and handle credit memos for returns.
• Keep required paperwork secure and tidy until end of shift register balancing.
• Proactively seek product knowledge to upsell and inform customers.
• Maintain a log of pricing discrepancies for managers.
• Answer phones and direct customers to merchandise in the store.
• Verify customer information for taxes in the computer system and ensure correct tax rates.
• Communicate with other ASC employees via walkie-talkies as needed.
• As time allows, offer carry-out service, return carts, process returns, and perform light cleaning tasks.
• Maintain register supplies (bags, paper, etc.).
• Draft load tickets for large purchases to be picked up in the yard.
• Any other duties assigned by management.
