Total Wine & More in Overland Park, KS is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver fast, accurate transactions and exceptional service. You will process sales, verify identification, promote the loyalty program, and keep shelves and registers in top shape.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in retail, familiarity with POS systems and inventory software, and are able to work evenings and weekends. Training on wine, spirits, and beer ensures product knowledge and confident customer engagement.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years in retail preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; physically able to stand 8-10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

About the role

As a Cashier, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing customers with fast and friendly service. You will process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit.

While both part-time and full-time positions generally focus on being a cashier, you may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally, you will be referred to Front End Team Member and report to the store management team.

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty program, and bagging product.

If this job posting is coded as a seasonal role above, you can expect this position to be short term, no longer than six months, and you will have the option to apply for a non-seasonal role.

• May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.
