• We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Cashier/Food Service Worker positions.
• Location: Ochsner Medical Center - 2500 Belle Chasse Highway, Terrytown, LA 70056. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm. Days may vary, rotating weekends and holidays. More details provided during interview.

Job Summary

Summary: Operate Point of Sale system, assist the Chef, prepare coffee, and maintain cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; assist with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cashiering accurately, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits at the end of shifts.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving lines, ensure food temperatures are within acceptable ranges, and notify cooks if not.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Keep refrigerators stocked and use first-in, first-out rotation.
• Stock pantries with correct par levels, record replenishments, and monitor refrigerator temperatures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
