Job summary

Three Bears Alaska, Inc. is seeking a cashier to greet customers, scan items, and process payments in our in-person Alaska stores. You will help maintain accurate cash handling, monitor merchandise flow, and assist with bagging and transferring goods.

Propane operations are part of the role with required safety adherence. Experience with basic checkout procedures is preferred; a High School Diploma or GED is favored.

Qualifications

• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Operate scanning hardware and register system.
• Handle cash, checks, EBT and card payments accurately.
• Monitor merchandise flow and assist with transfers.
• Follow safety procedures, especially for propane operations.
• Maintain clean and stocked checkout area.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Ring up purchases, process payments and provide change.
• Scan items, bag/pack and transfer merchandise as needed.
• Maintain register accuracy and perform end-of-shift tasks.
• Help with propane tanks sales and safety guidelines as required.
