Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a part-time cashier to provide a fast, friendly checkout experience at our store locations in the United States. You’ll help customers get the best value, assist in self-checkout, and support other departments as needed to ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

Excellent communication and basic math, a willingness to lift items, and comfortable work in a fast-paced retail environment are valued.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation
• Complete other duties as assigned
