Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented cashier for our café operations in Chicago, Illinois. You will perform cashiering duties, process cash transactions, verify drawer, give change and issue receipts, while ensuring accurate recording of sales.

You will maintain sanitation standards, restock beverages and pastry items, assist customers, and help with cash control procedures and daily cash reports.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Customer service oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions in a timely fashion and enter all sales into the POS system.
• Handle cash drawer, give change, issue receipts, and follow procedures for refunds.
• Interact with customers to resolve issues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of service areas, pastry case, and beverage stations.
