Job summary

The Golden Hog in Key Biscayne, FL, is seeking a full-time Cashier to deliver friendly, efficient service at the front end and support daily operations. You will process purchases, handle cash and card payments, assist with bagging, and keep the checkout area tidy to create a welcoming experience for every customer.

Candidates should be able to work rotating shifts from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, including weekends and holidays, with two days off each week. Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Full-time rotating shifts 7:00 am–now 9:00 pm, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience as cashier or related retail role preferred.
• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to process cash, credit/debit, and other payments via POS.
• Verify items, quantities, prices, and transactions with accuracy.
• Assist customers with bagging and checkout needs.
• Maintain registers, counters, and checkout areas clean and organized.
• Stand for extended periods and work with a sense of urgency during peak times.
• Open/close/clean/restock front-end duties as needed.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

We are seeking a full-time Cashier to provide friendly, efficient, and accurate customer service while supporting the daily operations of our Front-End team. This position includes processing customer purchases, handling cash and electronic payments, assisting with bagging, answering basic customer questions, maintaining the checkout area clean and organized, and helping create a positive and welcoming experience for every customer.

Requirements

Cashier Qualifications

• Must be able to work full-time rotating shifts between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm, including weekends and holidays as needed, with two scheduled days off each week.


• Previous experience as a Cashier, Retail Cashier, Grocery Cashier, Supermarket Cashier, Front-End Associate, Customer Service Associate, or similar retail position preferred.


• Ability to provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.


• Ability to accurately process cash, credit card, debit card, and other approved customer payments using a point-of-sale (POS) system.


• Able to verify items, quantities, prices, and transactions carefully while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.


• Willingness to assist customers with bagging, basic questions, and general checkout needs.


• Able to maintain registers, counters, checkout stations, and surrounding Front-End areas clean, organized, and ready for customers.


• Ability to work efficiently with a sense of urgency while maintaining a positive and professional attitude during busy periods.


• Responsible, reliable, punctual, and able to follow established cash-handling and operational procedures.


• Able to stand and remain active for extended periods while performing the duties required for the position.


• Willingness to assist with opening, closing, cleaning, restocking, and other Front-End duties as needed.


• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
