Job summary

Tony's Fresh Market is hiring a cashier to deliver a positive customer experience using point-of-sale equipment. You will scan items, itemize purchases, and total transactions while maintaining accuracy and friendly service.

You will work with a team, support store operations, and help ensure inventory accuracy in a busy retail environment. Prior cash handling and customer service experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older with workers permit.
• Highly organized with a keen sense of details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and twisting while handling products or using equipment.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.
• Cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes customer purchases, general cleaning, and returns misplaced items to shelves.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers.
• Collaborate with team and communicate with store management.
• Provide feedback on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory for accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies to minimize losses.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Communicate relevant information to direct leader.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
