Job summary

Kroger in Olive Branch, MS is seeking a courteous cashier/checker to deliver a top-notch customer experience and operate the checkout quickly and accurately. You will greet customers, process a variety of tender types, and apply store policies and safety rules in a fast-paced environment.

The role supports customers throughout the store, adheres to loss-prevention guidelines, and requires teamwork so the store runs smoothly. On-site at 7427 Goodman Rd, Olive Branch, MS.

Qualifications

• Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Provide product information and assist customers across the store.
• Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
