Strack and Van Til in Crown Point, IN is seeking a Cashier to operate our cash register and accurately ring up groceries. You will tender multiple forms of payment and aim for a fast, friendly checkout experience for a high-volume flow of customers.

In the Front End Department, you’ll greet shoppers, scan items, apply coupons, bag groceries, and keep the area clean. A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Summary: As a Cashier, your primary responsibility will include operating a cash register to accurately ring up our customers' grocery orders. You will be responsible for tendering multiple forms of payment while ensuring our customers experience a friendly, efficient checkout process. You will interact with a high-volume of customers in a fast-paced environment ensuring that all of their grocery shopping needs were met. In our Front End Department, your potential to thrive is at your fingertips. As the face of the Company and whether ringing up orders, problem solving or bagging groceries you have an opportunity to interact and leave a positive lasting impression with our valued customers.
