Job summary

Bally's Corporation is seeking a Cage Cashier to conduct and control banking activities within the assigned cage window. You will issue and reconcile funds, maintain imprest balance, and ensure security and accountability of company assets.

The role requires English communication skills, prior monetary experience, and the ability to obtain Illinois Gaming License. Work environment is hospitality-driven with a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year monetary experience.
• Previous 10-key experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and control casino banking activities within the assigned cage window in accordance with laws, regulations, and internal controls.
• Issue, control, and reconcile all cashier funds within the cage window.
• Maintain an imprest balance at the cashier station.
• Provide security and accountability of company funds entrusted to the cage window.
• Answer patron and pit personnel phone lines.
• Assist in investigating shortages and errors within the window.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and control casino banking activities within the assigned cage window, including but not limited to transactions involving patrons and additional Casino departments according to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal controls
• Issue, control, and reconcile all cashier funds within the assigned cage window
• Maintain an imprest balance of cashier station
• Provide security and accountability of Company funds entrusted to the assigned cage window
• Answer phone lines for patrons or pit personnel
• Assist in the investigation and correction of shortages and errors within assigned window
• Accept credit applications to be processed by the credit department
• Verify all money transactions, including check cashing for patrons, according to internal control regulations
• Perform all opening/closing duties as assigned
• Learn and implement all rules, laws, regulations, policies, and Internal Controls pertaining to the Cage and Credit department, including Title 31
• Must report all suspicious persons, activity, or hazardous conditions to management immediately
• Must be able to apply knowledge gained from training, education and work experience
• Must be friendly and courteous at all times
• Must be able to apply customer service standards as directed
• Able to satisfactorily complete assignable work requested by the Shift Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Able to effectively communicate verbally and written in English
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming License

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

• The hospitality industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation.
• This position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor climates
• Occasional: standing, walking, lifting up to 30 pounds
• Frequent: sitting, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, and with repetitive movement of fingers, legs, arms, and hands
• Speech and Vision abilities are required.

Target Salary Rate: $16.00 per hour
