This job contributes to Starbucks and Harrah’s Southern California Resort success by providing fast, friendly, and exceptional customer service to all guests, with quality beverages and products, while maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe store environment. Responsibilities include preparing and serving cold and hot beverages, light snacks, pastries, and cookies to casino guests. The team member is expected to model and act in accordance with Starbucks Guiding Principles and Harrah’s Southern California Resort’s Mission, Values, and Vision.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Six months of previous experience in food service preferred.
  • At least six months of cash handling and cash register experience required.
  • Hotel restaurant experience is a plus.
  • Excellent Family Style Service and Starbucks customer experience standards are essential.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Availability to work any day and any shift.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Well-groomed appearance following franchise and company uniform standards.
  • Food Handlers card or willingness to obtain one within the first week of employment.
  • Flexibility to rotate through stations such as warming, store support, cashier, and barista based on business needs.
  • Willingness to work in other food service outlets and overtime if needed.
About The Role
  • Greet and converse with guests upon entry.
  • Demonstrate “Everyone Greets Everyone” (EGE) consistently with a smile and appropriate greeting.
  • Model Family Style Service to all guests and team members.
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and in alignment with Starbucks and Harrah’s values.
  • Handle difficult guest conversations effectively.
  • Prepare snacks and beverages following franchise operations manual.
  • Warm, wrap, and prepare sandwiches, pastries, and beverages efficiently.
  • Process cash transactions per company policies.
  • Upsell products and promote Caesars and Starbucks brands.
  • Keep counters, tables, equipment, and carts clean and stocked.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas, including sweeping, wiping, dusting, and restocking.
  • Prepare items like cold brew, iced coffee, and vanilla sweet cream.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
  • Log and report waste during business hours.
  • Follow health, safety, and food handling policies.
  • Perform tasks based on business needs and leadership direction.
  • Adhere to attendance and policy guidelines.
A Few More Things
  • Ability to maneuver around work and casino/hotel areas.
  • Lift and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, push, and balance when stocking and cleaning.
  • tolerate hot environments.
  • Respond to visual and auditory cues.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Tolerate secondhand smoke, noise, bright lights, and dust.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour plus tips, depending on experience.
