Job summary

Northern Tool + Equipment is seeking a Part-Time Cashier who will help customers at checkout and uphold our brand and service standards. You’ll engage with shoppers, promote protection plans and credit options, and support teammates with price changes and stocking.

Flexibility to work weekends/holidays and a love of tools are a plus. The role emphasizes friendly, professional service and efficient transactions to create a smooth shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales or cashier duties is valued but not required.
• Must be able to greet customers and complete transactions quickly and accurately.
• Spanish language skills preferred for some customers.

Your number one priority as a Part-Time Cashier will be to assist our customers during the checkout process and delivering on our high brand and execution standards with your team members. Role Specific Details:

• Spanish Language Skills preferred

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greeting all customers as they enter the store and insuring they enjoy the best shopping experience possible.


2. Completing all transactions quickly and accurately.


3. Offering our Protection Plan on all eligible products and offering our credit card on all customer transactions! (Incentive pay for selling protection plans and credit cards).


4. Being a Team Player by helping put away product, execute price changes, or other tasks that may help your team better serve our customers.

What you will bring to the table:

• Prior retail sales, cashier or customer service experience admired, but not required.


• Flexible availability and willingness to work some weekends and holidays as needed.


• Love of tools & equipment.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Ability to lift 70 Lbs.


• Service focused mindset.
