Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons.
• Adhere to company policies on cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted sale items (e.g., alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and advertisements.
• Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Support safety initiatives by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report repairs needed.
• Provide a welcoming environment, answering questions and assisting customers throughout the store.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and uphold honesty and integrity in all interactions.
• Follow instructions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as required.
