Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities:

• Being visible, greeting, engaging, and assisting customers as a Cashier/Checker.
• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understanding the Point of Sale (POS) system and handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Adhering to company's cash handling limits and working honestly to control loss.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies and staying current with ads and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying management.
• Practicing preventive maintenance and inspecting equipment, reporting repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
