Job summary

Walmart Canada in Bedford, NS is seeking a friendly Cashier to provide exemplary customer service at the checkout, process transactions accurately, and help protect company assets.

You will greet customers, handle cash, operate the register, promote programs, assist with bagging, and maintain a safe, clean work area. This hourly position starts at the posted minimum rate and offers opportunities to learn retail skills and grow with the team.

• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
