Starting Pay: $16

Responsible for providing a superior customer service experience to all walk-in contact and phone-contact customers.

Essential Job Duties

1. Personally greet every customer as they walk through the door and maintain friendly contact throughout their shopping experience.
2. At checkout, implement suggestive selling techniques, as appropriate, and assist with problem-solving.
3. Maintain orderly files and clean records of all transactions, as well as an accurate cash drawer.
4. Observe changes in inventory to ensure minimum stock levels and store showroom appearance is appropriate.
5. Coordinate orders from the warehouse to ensure customers’ orders are ready in a timely fashion.
6. Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a strong customer service background.

Preferred Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts.
• Two to three years of prior customer service relations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to interpret graphs.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to create and maintain documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to train others and interact effectively with colleagues and management.
• Routine problem-solving following clear procedures. Decisions mainly affect personal or functional areas.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects with moderate complexity.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Travel may be required, including overnight stays. Exposure to extreme temperatures, lighting, and noise levels. Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, and other movements.
