Wegmans Food Markets is seeking a part-time cashier in Penfield, NY to deliver proactive customer service at traditional and self-checkout lanes, ensuring a positive end to every shopping trip.

You will handle scanning, payments, bagging, and guide customers through the self-checkout experience while keeping your workspace clean and organized. Availability includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Formación

• Proactive customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash register operations and process payments.

In this role, you’ll provide proactive incredible customer service as you assist customers in both traditional checkout and self-checkout lanes. What will I do?

• Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling; proactively offer additional assistance, thank customers for shopping at Wegmans
• When on register, efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments
• Properly bag items to ensure products arrive at their destination in the condition they left the store
• When in self-checkout area, manage traffic flow, direct customers to available lanes, ensure the lanes are in good working order and assist customers with system troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work space
