Job summary

HouseMart is seeking a friendly cashier in Milwaukie, OR to greet customers, process transactions accurately, and help drive store sales. The role emphasizes customer service and POS proficiency in a busy retail environment.

You will promote ACE Rewards and Craft Club Card memberships, maintain product knowledge, contribute to inventory accuracy, and work with a team to ensure safety and exceptional service at all times.

Qualifications

• Customer service, retail, and cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to complete fundamental cashiering training course.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Role Summary: The Cashier provides exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting every customer. They are able to perform all cash register procedures in an accurate, efficient, and courteous manner to maximize sales, cultivate strong customer relationships, and encourage company loyalty. The Cashier thinks and behaves in alignment with HouseMart's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

Working Conditions:

Work Environment : Will work under regular store conditions. Occasional exposure to heat, dust, solvents, chemicals, paint, glue, etc.

Equipment and Tools : Occasional use of store equipment including, but is not limited to two-way radios, hand tools, key machines, paint mixers, computer systems, printers, fax, and other miscellaneous hand tools.

Physical Demands : Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 60lbs of material, in addition to lifting and maneuvering up to 100lbs. using a hand truck, on occasion.
