Job summary

The Bartolotta Restaurants is seeking a Cashier in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will greet guests, process payments, and ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. Monday through Friday daytime hours are required.

First impressions start here! As a Cashier, you’ll greet guests with a smile, process orders quickly, and keep the front‑of‑house running smoothly. Fast‑paced, fun, and full of interaction—if you love people and being part of a great team, this role is for you! Monday through Friday daytime hours.

Job Purpose

The Cashier uses cash registers, electronic scanners, and related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the location.
• Accept and process payments in the form of cash, credit or debit cards, and checks for items purchased.
• Assist customers with questions or pricing discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate transactions by balancing cash drawers at the beginning and sales at the end of shift.
• Process returns and exchanges according to policy.
• Identify and process products and services and tabulate bills with available equipment.
• Assist customers in locating products, resolving complaints, or providing information.
• Bag, box, and wrap purchased items.

All other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of on‑the‑job training.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to talk, use repetitive motion, type, and hear.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
