Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities include:

• Being visible and actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers.
• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understanding and handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Adhering to company limits on cash shortages and/or overages and working to control loss.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies.
• Following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with advertisements.
• Adhering to food safety regulations.
• Reinforcing safety programs and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Practicing preventive maintenance and notifying management of equipment issues.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting with product questions.
• Adhering to all laws and company guidelines.
• Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
