Job summary

American Dining Creations, a division of American Food & Vending, is hiring a full-time Cashier in Jefferson City, MO. You will greet guests, operate the POS, process payments, restock displays, and help with catering and events while maintaining a clean, organized service area.

The ideal candidate has customer-service experience, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math and POS familiarity are a plus. Training provided.

Responsibilities

Now hiring for multiple full-time Monday–Friday shifts (no weekends): 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Overnight Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Location: Jefferson City, Missouri

Summary

A Cashier at American Dining Creations will provide outstanding customer service while processing sales transactions and assisting guests. This position requires an organized, detail-oriented, and personable individual who can manage point-of-sale operations, restock merchandise, and contribute to an engaging and welcoming guest experience. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, courteous, and passionate about both hospitality and cultural engagement.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist by providing product information and recommendations.
• Operate the POS system to ring up transactions quickly and accurately, including cash, debit, credit, and mobile payments.
• Product and menu knowledge, ability to provide recommendations and upselling when able.
• Balance the POS system and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Restock, merchandise, and maintain displays to ensure an organized, visually appealing environment.
• Unpack, price, and stock new inventory shipments.
• Assist with inventory counts, sales reporting, and reorder recommendations for merchandise and supplies.
• Support the creation of themed and seasonal displays.
• Support dining team with preparation, catering, and delivery as needed.
• Maintain complete cleanliness and organization of the service areas, displays, and all ADC work areas.
• Provide feedback to the operations team regarding customer preferences and sales trends.
• Ensure all policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned, including assisting with special events and guest engagement activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior cashier or retail experience in a cultural or hospitality environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, guest-centered environment.
• Basic math and computer skills; familiarity with POS systems.
• Creative eye for merchandising and presentation.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform light physical tasks related to stocking, display and catering setup, and sanitation duties.
