Overland Park is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver fast, accurate checkout service and help customers find products and promotions. You will greet customers, operate the register, handle payments, issue receipts, and answer inquiries while maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards.

The position requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or GED preferred, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Observe shift -operating hours at all times as scheduled by department manager.

• Be able to work within a team and be willing to learn.
• Handle food safely and keep their area clean.
• Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and local health regulations on an ongoing basis.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Able to exert or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and exert or lift negligible amounts of weight often.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

The primary purpose of a Cashier is to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. A Cashier is responsible for providing fast, friendly and accurate checkout services. The cashier is to ensure that the prices and quantities are accurate, accept payment, issue receipts, answer inquiries and provide helpful information to the customers about products, promotions and item location. Cashiers also respond to complaints with genuine concern, assist the Customer Service team in creating a positive store atmosphere for customers and a positive working environment for Associates while working in a safe manner.
