CHRISTENSEN INC in Caldwell, Idaho is seeking a reliable Retail Cashier to handle cash, card, and check transactions, greet customers, and provide friendly checkout service. You will balance cash drawer, process returns, scan items, maintain a clean checkout area, and support store operations under supervision of the store manager.

Must be 18+, high school diploma or GED, and have prior cash handling experience in a busy retail environment.

SCOPE:A Retail Cashier is responsible for processing cash, debit, credit, and check transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a retail environment. Their duties include balancing the cash register, making change, recording purchases, processing returns and scanning items for sale.SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLESProvide high-quality customer service in accordance with our Company's customer service standards and policies and procedures.Greet customers and provide friendly, courteous, and efficient customer checkout service.Learn and follow all applicable company policies and procedures regarding discounts, coupons, refunds, cash handling, employee purchase and all other transactions handled at the register.Operate electronic scanning cash register to total customers' final bill.Maintain a clean and safe work area including check stand area as well as straightening up end cap display areas near check stand.Maintain the restrooms cleanPut products away when inventory arrives.Stock shelves and display cases with appropriate products as needed.Maintain storage room.Count and reconcile cash and coupons in cash register drawer at beginning and end of every shift.Other duties assignedLEADERSHIP & TEAM REACHThe Retail Cashier will report directly to the store manager.
