Job Responsibilities
  1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  2. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers according to company policy.
  3. Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  5. Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  6. Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
  7. Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
  8. Create a welcoming environment for customers and assist with product inquiries.
  9. Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
  10. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflict professionally.
  11. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  12. Support customers with special needs, including minors, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
  13. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
