The cashier at Bass Pro Shops Nature’s Wonders will assist customers during and after checkout, greeting shoppers and handling discounts, punch cards, and special orders as needed. The role requires accuracy in handling payments and maintaining a clean, organized checkout area.

The cashier will assist customers during and after the checkout process at Nature’s Wonders.
Greets all customers when arriving and leaving the store. Remains alert, friendly and ready to assist at all times. Performs all processes and functions of the point-of-sale system Ensure the checkout counters is never left unattended. Remains diligent to keep money organized, count change correctly, insure accuracy of transactions and that checks are filled out properly with all required information (correct amounts, phone number, driver’s license number) Keeps checkout area clean and organized. Knows all discounts the store offers. Remains aware of customer accounts, applying discounts, punch cards, etc. Bags product efficiently and accommodating customer wishes. Takes special orders and requests. Answers the phone. Finds jobs to stay busy between customers. Assists with barista duties as needed. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
Excellent organization skills and attention to details. Experience in a customer service environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Adaptability to new processes and procedures. Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at one time. The ability to move freely around your workspace. Sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, crawling, and climbing may be necessary physical requirements for this position.
Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
