Job summary

Steve Madden in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time Cashier to deliver outstanding customer service at the POS and deepen product knowledge. You will greet customers, process transactions, and support store operations while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities include handling cash and transactions, assisting with merchandising, and being flexible to cover duties as needed, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

The Cashier is responsible for listening and responding appropriately to customer needs, maintaining extensive product knowledge, and exhibiting professionalism at the POS.
