Triad Financial Services is a leading provider of financial services and solutions, serving clients nationwide. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cash and Reconciliation Specialist to join our growing team.

The Cash and Reconciliation Specialist supports investor reporting, daily and month-end cash activity, remittance processing, advance recovery, account reconciliation, and issue escalation to ensure timely, accurate reporting and compliance with investor requirements.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for overseeing specialty servicing for specific investor requirements.
  • Responsible for validating and initiating the daily remittance and advance recovery activity.
  • Review daily activity to identify exceptions before month end, including general ledger advance balancing differences.
  • Monitor and report deferrals and extensions used to cure account defaults and assess their impact on investor reporting.
  • Validate month-end reports, including advance calculations, remittance calculations, reconciliation of cash collections, remittances, and advances. Identify out-of-balance conditions related to investor reporting and ensure reports are submitted timely to meet contractual remittance obligations on the distribution date.
  • Escalate issues and discrepancies to senior management and coordinate meetings with appropriate team members as needed.
  • Review, approve, and initiate repurchases of loans that are 120 or more days delinquent from the pool.
  • Facilitate REO liquidation, settle Triad advances, and return remaining funds to the reserve account. Upon cure or reinstatement, transfer the loan back into the pool, ensure all missed payments are passed through in collections, and confirm that advances are repaid to Triad.
  • Obtain appropriate approvals as needed for cash movements.
  • Balance investor bank accounts daily and monthly. Maintain monthly account reconciliations for audit purposes.
  • Other responsibilities:
  • Monitor all corporate advances from investor reporting to ensure balances are paid, reconciled and refunded as identified.
  • Assist cash department with cash transactions as needed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of mortgage banking experience
  • MSP experience
  • General Ledger balancing a plus

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
