Salary Range: $24.00 To $29.75 Hourly
Responsible for daily cash posting, reconciliation, and error resolutions and is completed accurately and timely.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Maintains an accurate record of daily cash receipts through the mail, the courier, the lock box and electronic funds transfer. Receives and keys credit card payments daily, maintaining appropriate copy for documentation Post insurance and personal payment to the correct accounts from copies of checks, receipts and electronic transactions Reconciliation: Performs daily ERA/EFT’s reassociation and reconciles exceptions. Calculates and verifies correct contractual adjustment and posts to correct patient account
Payment error resolution Receives and keys patient, insurance and government payment transfers daily Resolves unidentified payments daily by identifying the correct account or processing a refund Maintains established CBO policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement, HIPAA, UB compliance, applicable statutory compliance, and safety standards. Processes Daily Cash Posting including posts, balance, and files approved cash posting. Receives and keys credit card payments daily, maintaining appropriate copy for documentation. Resolves unidentified payments daily by identifying the correct account or processing a refund
o Tracks DSH, Withholds, Advances for Government Payors. o Research and resolve Medi-Cal (or other) advances/retractions Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Clerical experience: Healthcare business office experience and/or cash handling experience preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish is required

Basic knowledge of government payor regulations, contracts and adjudication
