Job summary

Starr Insurance, a leading global commercial insurer, is seeking a Cash Specialist II to join our finance team in Philadelphia. You will identify daily cash receipts by policy number and apply payments within our receivable system, and resolve unapplied cash through internal and external follow-up.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, a Bachelor's degree, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while proactively improving

• 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Proficient in Excel; Workday experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and proactively resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Identify cash receipts by policy number and apply to receivable system.
• Prepare daily cash log of payments used for posting.
• Document unapplied cash transactions and follow up.
• Review broker backups and resolve unapplied and unidentified cash.
• Communicate with brokers, underwriters and management; issue reports; ensure compliance.
• Participate in system testing and process enhancements.
