Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Cashier in Wisconsin, Town of Howard. You will create welcoming checkout experiences, process transactions, and help customers as they shop. Timely, friendly service with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cashier or retail roles preferred.
• Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash accurately.

As a Cashier, you will craft quality customer experiences by providing efficient, effective customer service in the checkout lane that creates a positive and lasting impact on Meijer customers.

This position would be for early mornings starting at 3a/4a and would require you to also cashier in down time. Cash office duties would take about 4-6 hours of shift with remainder of shift doing cashiering and/or service desk duties

What You'll Do:

As a Cashier, you are the last touchpoint a customer has before leaving our store.

You'll:

• Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers
• Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression
• Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
• Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail
• Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language
• Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care
• Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
