Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Cash Management Representative to handle payment posting, cash reconciliation and related tasks across multiple clients. You will use MPower workflow system and client host platforms to ensure accurate posting and timely processing.

The role requires a High School diploma and about 1 year in revenue cycle or posting; strong communication, problem solving and HIPAA awareness are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in revenue cycle insurance collections and/or payment posting.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing including: ICD-9, CPT, and HCPC codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and sound judgment.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Cash management for multiple clients
  • Record, post & reconcile of daily cash across multiple clients and PM systems
  • Identify delayed, missing files and escalation to supervisor
  • Maintain assigned WQ’s, identify trends and upscale as needed
  • Unique client specific assigned workflows & tasks
  • Post zero/denials batches timely and accurately
  • Responsible for retrieving EOB’s to post payments & denials
  • Resolve missing payment requests timely. Provide feedback to supervisor with identified trends and issues
  • Work with client and internal partners to identify and resolve reconciliation topics
  • Complete cash posting emails as assigned
  • Meet and maintain quality and daily productivity standards established in departmental policies
  • Use the MPower workflow system, client host system, payer websites and other tools available
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures established for the client/team
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times
  • Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties

Job Purpose

The Cash Management Representative is responsible for all elements of Cash Management which include but is not limited to: payment posting, allowance posting, electronical file processing, bank reconciliation and recording, batch posting reconciliation and recording, Co-Source monitoring and management.

Working Conditions

  • Must possess a smart-phone or electronic device capable of downloading applications, for multifactor authentication and security purposes.
  • Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear.
  • Mental Demands:The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.
  • Work Environment:The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm EST
