Job summary

Peak Performers is seeking an Audit Analyst to support cash control processes for a major utilities company. You will perform daily bank reconciliations, validate vendor banking changes, and assist with SOX 404 compliance while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Hybrid schedule (in-office Tue/Wed/Thu; remote Mon/Fri) with a six-month contract from October 2026 to April 2027. Rate of $25.52 per hour; Kentucky and Pennsylvania offices will report to respective locations.

Qualifications

• Understanding of effective control models, specifically related to the safeguarding of cash under SOX 404 frameworks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to perform secure bank callbacks and vendor verifications.
• Solid problem-solving, time-management, and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in navigating Treasury reconciliation software and computer systems in a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive financial records.

Responsibilities

• Perform controls around vendor and customer banking information through callbacks and validation of requested change information.
• Complete daily interface controls to ensure all cash systems are operating as expected.
• Assist with daily, monthly, and quarterly cash controls to record transactions accurately and prevent fraud.
• Execute daily matching of book records to bank transactions in Treasury reconciliation software and resolve exceptions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with management reporting, regulatory reporting, and the unclaimed property process; interface with auditors regarding cash controls and SOX 404 compliance.
• Provide treasury process support and administrative accounting support while safeguarding cash records and confidential information.
