Job summary

Haworth, Inc in Holland, MI is seeking a Cabinet Builder for the weekend shift in the wood plant. The schedule runs 6:00am-6:30pm, Friday through Sunday, with no mandatory overtime. You will build customized products from customer specs using hand and power tools and read blueprints to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities include inspecting components, assembling final products, and preparing shipments. The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and basic shop math, with opportunities

Qualifications

• 2 years of prior manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs.
• 8th grade education or higher.
• Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Cabinet Builder to join our team on the weekend shift in the wood plant in Holland, MI.

Schedule is from 6:00am-6:30pm, Friday-Sunday. No mandatory OT!

As a Cabinet Builder you will:

• Build complex customized products to meet customers' unique specifications. Utilize various tools to complete job requirements. Operates lift assist.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of prior manufacturing experience
• The ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs
• 8th grade education or higher
• The ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to use basic hand, air, cordless, and/or electric tools
• Good color perception
• Strong manual dexterity
• Standing required for extended periods
• Work requires regular repetitive arm and hand movement
• May be required to climb stairs and ladders

Essential Functions

• Accesses electronic production systems to determine daily schedule and to verify accuracy of materials for each production order.
• Accesses, understands and utilizes blueprints, drawings, specifications and electronic production systems for building custom products.
• Inspects incoming components, parts and/or previous station's assembly work, and completed product, to ensure proper fit and function of all components; corrects or replaces unacceptable parts.
• Independently builds customized final product according to customer specifications utilizing hand and power tools and overhead crane.
• Performs final visual and quality inspection of product prior to shipment to ensure final product is in accordance with customer specifications.
• Prepares and packages product for customer shipment, operating appropriate wrapping machinery and tools.
• Enters order data into electronic production system, creates labels and stages product.
• Resolves & documents production nonconformance issues.
• Rotates through department work centers based on business need.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
