Job summary

Road to Responsibility in Taunton, MA is hiring for a full-time position focused on establishing and implementing outcome-oriented employment strategies that maximize readiness for community-based employment.

Work collaboratively with the Marketing Department and Employment Service staff to promote work readiness, provide counseling, and coordinate transitions from CBDS to supported employment while maintaining compliance with agency policies.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree and/or 2-4 years related experience or training.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, including medication administration.
  • Willingness to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning DPPC, DDS, and other agencies.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate employment services for assigned caseload, including the referral of needed ancillary services.
  • Develop strategies to assist individuals to transition from CBDS to supported employment and community-based employment.
  • Provide employment related counseling to individuals and their families.
  • Schedule, attend and participate in all meetings concerning assigned individuals and agency-wide task force meetings.
  • Prepare in a timely manner all progress notes, IPs, assessments and objectives for the annual review with relative data collection.
  • Implement behavioral plans and other strategic plans as outlined in the Employment Barriers Planning document.
  • Maintain positive proactive contact with referral sources, families and other providers.
  • Provide on-the-job training and instruction to individuals in a 1:1 or group format.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with state and agency requirements.

Job Details: Job Location: Taunton, Ma - Taunton, MA 02780, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: $22.75 - $22.75 Hourly, Job Shift: Day, RTR is offering a $2,500 Sign on Bonus for New Full Time Hires!

To establish and implement outcome oriented employment strategies that maximize an individual’s readiness for community-based employment.

Work in conjunction with the Marketing Department (clinical programs only) and Employment Service Direct Care staff to promote work readiness.

Assist the Program Director with administrative duties, program development, scheduling and coverage as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Plan and coordinate employment services for assigned caseload, including the referral of needed ancillary services.
  • Develop strategies to assist individuals to transition from Community Based Day Services (CBDS) to supported employment and community-based employment.
  • Provide employment related counseling to individuals and their families.
  • Schedule, attend and participate in all meetings concerning assigned individuals and agency-wide task force meetings.
  • Prepare in a timely manner all progress notes, Individual Service Plans, assessment and objectives for the annual review with relative data collection.
  • Implement behavioral plans and other strategic plans as outlined in the Employment Barriers Planning document.
  • Maintain positive proactive contact with referral sources, families and other providers.
  • Provide as needed on-the-job training and instruction to individuals in a 1:1 or group format through daily assignments.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with state and agency requirements.
  • Work in cooperation with the Program Director to establish and implement vocational and behavioral objectives.
  • Serve as an appropriate role model for individuals under supervision establishing behavioral limits in a positive consistent manner and in accordance with behavioral plans.
  • Attend mandated Safety Care training. Responsible for implementing physical restraints on the individuals we support to assist with behavioral management. This may include, but not limited to, hitting, biting, kicking, and spitting.
  • Cooperate and interact with co-workers, clients, volunteers, and funders in a collaborative, courteous, empathic, and professional manner. Demonstrate willingness and ability to be part of team effort.
  • Participate in the Positive Behavior Support initiative and complete the Quality Behavior Curriculum.
  • Provide transportation to host companies (SEP) as needed.
  • Adhere to all applicable procedures for each host company.
  • Assist and support individuals as needed with physical direct care. May include: physical or mechanical transfer to a van, chair, etc.
  • Adhere to all program routines and schedules.
  • Adhere to the schedules and needs of RTR, the schedules and needs of individuals under supervision and the schedules and needs of customers/host companies.
  • Adhere to agency safety protocols.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed.
  • Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required. Additional duties may include but are not limited to clearing snow and ice from walkways, vehicles, parking lots, and roads using equipment like shovels and snow blowers while applying deicing agents to ensure safety.
  • Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS Degree and/or 2-4 years related experience or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
