Job summary

TRIUNE Health Group seeks a part-time Case Manager Supervisor I who leads a team while maintaining about half a caseload and at least 20 billable hours weekly. Qualifications

  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to a designated team, supporting daily operations and performance.
  • Maintain an active case management caseload equal to ~50% of a full caseload with at least 20 billable hours per week.
  • Review clinical files for status accuracy, quality, open days, high-dollar cases, and proper case-type classification.
  • Partner with the Clinical Manager, Operations, and Human Resources on staffing, performance management, compliance, and other operational matters.
  • Travel overnight and attend meetings as required.
  • Balance supervisory responsibilities with direct case management to ensure timely service delivery.

Job description

I. Summary of Position

The Case Manager Supervisor I serves as a part-time working leader responsible for providing supervision, coaching, and operational oversight while maintaining an active case management caseload. This role balances leadership responsibilities with direct patient care by carrying approximately one-half of a standard caseload and maintaining a minimum of 20 billable hours per week. The Supervisor II partners with leadership to ensure quality outcomes, employee development, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer service while remaining actively involved in case management.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to a designated team of employees, supporting daily operations, workflow, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct individual meetings with each direct report at least annually, and up to twice per year, to discuss performance, professional development, engagement, and career goals.
  • Review clinical files for status accuracy, quality, open days, high-dollar cases, and proper case-type classification.
  • Monitor and promote the quality of services provided, including supporting orientation, precepting, training, and ongoing development of new hires and team members.
  • Partner with the Clinical Manager, Operations, and Human Resources on employee relations, staffing, performance management, compliance, and other operational matters.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports, invoices, and related documentation as assigned to support operational accuracy and accountability.
  • Support limited marketing, business development, or sales-related activities as needed.
  • Maintain an active case management caseload equal to approximately 50% of a full caseload while meeting a minimum expectation of 20 billable hours per week.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance in accordance with organizational expectations.
  • Promote and support a culture of integrity, collaboration, confidentiality, and accountability while safeguarding sensitive information in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Balance supervisory responsibilities with direct case management while ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes and timely service delivery.
  • Utilize active case management experience to coach, mentor, and support team members through real-time clinical guidance and best practice sharing.
  • Travel overnight and attend meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Essential Duty (HIPAA And Workspace Requirements)
  • Maintain a dedicated, secure workspace that protects the confidentiality of HIPAA-protected information and complies with company privacy and security standards. Ensure printed documents containing protected health information are stored securely and disposed of appropriately in accordance with HIPAA requirements and company policies.
III. Job Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a diploma or Associate’s degree required.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of operation.
  • Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience required; rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • One or more years of nursing experience preferred. New graduates with strong clinical rotations and demonstrated interest in case management may also be considered.
  • Experience in medical-surgical, rehabilitation, home health, occupational health, emergency, or acute care settings is preferred but not required.
  • 1+ years of case management experience required.
  • Demonstrated management or supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively balance leadership responsibilities with an active clinical caseload.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Individuals with one or a combination of the following certifications are required: COHN, COHN-S, and CDMS, CRRN and CCM.

IV. Physical Demands

This position requires a combination of computer-based work and field activities. Employees must be able to regularly operate standard office equipment including computers, keyboards, phones, printers, and mobile devices. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and telephone communication, as well as frequent standing, walking, driving, and traveling to attend appointments, meetings, and field visits. Employees must be able to enter healthcare facilities and other locations as required to perform case management services. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively, maintain sustained concentration, and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements associated with computer and keyboard use. Employees may occasionally lift, carry, or transport lightweight work materials, such as laptops, files, and office supplies, generally weighing no more than 10 pounds.

Salary

The salary range for this full-time position starts at a minimum of $85,000.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
