Job summary

The International Institute of New England (IINE) in Massachusetts seeks a Temporary Case Specialist to provide placement, orientation, social services, and case management for refugees, asylees, and trafficking survivors and their families.

You will conduct home visits, enroll clients in programs, coordinate services, and advocate for self-sufficiency under the supervision of the Community Services Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in case management preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

  • Con Conduct pre-arrival orientation for refugee clients.
  • Conduct weekly intakes and provide referrals to health, social, housing, educational, and employment services.
  • Procure and set up apartments for refugee arrivals including furniture and basic supplies.
  • Provide initial reception and placement services including airport pick up on an emergency basis.
  • Maintain professional documentation using centralized database with assessments and case notes.
